My murals are colourful, layered, story-rich spaces. Whether created for a child’s bedroom, a school corridor, a theatre set or a visitor centre wall, each piece is shaped by its setting and purpose. I work in acrylics and light-relief techniques to create visual impact, often incorporating fluorescent colours, glitter, and gold leaf to add a sense of enchantment. These shimmering materials reflect not only light, but the vibrance and electricity of musical drama, evoking movement, rhythm and emotion. Inspirations vary from the soft hues of the Yorkshire Dales to ancient Egypt, historical narratives and theatrical worlds. I often blend the real with the imagined, mixing rustic found objects with sculpted textures to form poetic storyscapes. Hidden animals or interactive details invite visitors to search, to touch, and to step into a world of curious juxtapositions where scale shifts, stories unravel, and the walls feel sprinkled with sherbet for the fun and lace for the detail. A little Wonderland waiting to be wandered through.
